Laparosopic - SurgeryThe creation of small keyholes as against large wounds for surgery decreases the stress on the body and facilitates early recovery. There is less trauma to the internal organs and the magnification produced by the equipment, greatly facilitates precision of surgery. The patient remains less number of days in hospital and can return to work earlier than open surgery. |
|
PCNLPercutaneous ( through skin) removal of kidney stones (lithotomy) is accomplished through the most direct route. A telescope along with the mechanical lithotripter in inserted to break the stone into fine particles so as to achieve a stone-free status in large and complicated stones. This procedure usually requires hospitalization, and most patients resume normal activity within a week. |
|
TURP / TURIS / TURBTIn this operation, a telescope is passed through the urethra to visualize the prostate. The enlarged obstructing prostate is then carved from within, to enlarge the urethra to its original calibre using different ergonomoics. |

URS LITHOTRIPSY / FLEXI URSLStones in the ureter (the tube connecting kidney and bladder) can be treated by ESWL or Ureteroscopy or Laparoscopy. ESWL has a high failure rate for lower ureteric stones, as the bony pelvis within which the ureter lies will absorb some energy of the shock waves. So the lower ureteric stones can be treated by URSL. Upper uretric stones can be treated by either ESWL or FLEXI URSL or PUSH BACK PCNL.small intra renal stones also can be treated by flexi ursl (RIRS). |

LAPARASCOPIC PYELOPLASTYLaparoscopic pyeloplasty is one of several minimally invasive treatment options for UPJ obstruction.Laparoscopic pyeloplasty addresses all potential causes of obstruction. Any fibrotic bands kinking the ureter are divided, and the ureter is spatulated through the level of the UPJ prior to completion of the anastomosis. If a crossing vessel is encountered, a dismembered pyeloplasty is performed, the ureter and renal pelvis are transposed to the opposite side of the vessels, and the anastomosis is completed. |

LAPARASCOPIC NEPHRECTOMYLaparoscopic Nephrectomy provides patients with a safe and effective way to remove a diseased or cancerous kidney. When compared to conventional open surgery, laparoscopic nephrectomy has resulted in significantly less post-operative pain, a shorter hospital stay, earlier return to work and daily activities, a more favorable cosmetic result and outcomes identical to that of open surgery. |
